The policy
This Privacy Policy applies to the Berry Punnet app for iPhone, published by Giorgi Meskhi (“we”, “us”).
Overview
Berry Punnet is a shelf-life tracker for fruit that is already ripe. You note where a box sits — in the cold, on the table or in a crate — and the app counts the days it stays good. This Privacy Policy explains what happens to the information you enter while using Berry Punnet.
The short version: everything you enter stays on your device. There is no account, no server storage of your data, no advertising and no tracking.
Information we collect
We do not collect, store or receive personal information. Berry Punnet does not ask for your name, email address, phone number, location, contacts, photos or any other personal details.
The app keeps only what you type into it yourself, so it can count your windows:
Fruit boxes and the day they were put away- Where each box sits
Signs you mark: mold, spots, dry edges- Portions eaten and closed boxes
Room climate and hot spells
Your own fruit cards and notes
Where your data lives
All of the information above is saved locally inside Berry Punnet’s private storage on your iPhone. It is never uploaded, synced or shared with us or with anyone else.
If you use Apple’s iCloud or computer backups for your device, the app’s local data may be included in those backups according to your own device settings. Those backups are handled by Apple under Apple’s privacy policy, not by us.
No tracking, no ads, no analytics
Berry Punnet does not contain advertising, analytics or crash-reporting services, and it does not include third-party SDKs that collect data. The app does not use the advertising identifier and does not track you across apps or websites owned by other companies.
Permissions and network
Berry Punnet does not request access to your camera, microphone, photos, location, contacts, calendar or health data. It works fully offline.
The only time the app uses the internet is when you open this Privacy Policy from inside the app. That page is loaded the same way any web page is loaded, and the web server may receive standard technical information such as your IP address and browser type to deliver it.
Keeping and deleting your data
Your data stays on your device for as long as you keep it. You can remove the practice box, delete your own fruit cards and reset card days inside the app. Records of real boxes are kept as part of your history.
To erase everything at once, delete Berry Punnet from your device. This removes all of the app’s data permanently. Because we never receive your data, we cannot recover it for you.
Children’s privacy
Berry Punnet is suitable for a general audience and does not knowingly collect any personal information from anyone, including children under the age of 13. Since the app collects no personal information at all, no data about children is ever gathered.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, laws such as the GDPR or the CCPA give you rights to access, correct or delete personal information that a company holds about you. We do not hold any personal information about Berry Punnet users, but you are always welcome to contact us with any privacy question or request and we will answer it.
Security
Your entries are protected by the security of your device and iOS app sandboxing. We recommend keeping your device protected with a passcode, Face ID or Touch ID.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the “Effective date” at the top of this page. Significant changes will be reflected on this page before they take effect.
